Woah. What? The Pudding Earl LISTENED to his fans? And he DIDN'T want money for it? What the hell is up with that? I'll tell you what's up with that! Lots of you asked for the same thing. That's what. And so it was, that Pudding Games has received new features. Namely a feature list and a walkthrough. The walkthrough is, of course, rather bare bones, to allow you to enjoy the content in game, but it covers how to game overs, and how to romance. More info pages will be coming through out the week.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! Shield High is also updating to 0.43. You can now fight Elizabeth and stuff. Probably. It was a race to get the content together, so there's probably a bug in there somewhere. And I'm willing to bet it's on the trigger. Actually, off the top of my head I can think of one right now. Elizabeth will be infinitely fight-able. That will of course be fixed next week.

Also coming next week is the romance, a bit more polish for Elizabeth, obviously, and then an enslaved plot. I have no idea which one yet, as I have no idea what the plot will be. But I'll work something out. Enjoy.

Hey Puddin', really great game! I found it in a thread on /d/ a while back.
ReplyDeleteI tried out 0,43 and got some issues tho'.
Namely:
-Mellany followed me home, but there was no scene and she didn't return to school. She's allway at my home next to Jen now.
-The Stacy fight didn't start for me. The days just advanced with attending class and going home.
-The girls asking you to fight Elizabeth happened, and they were talking like I had beaten Stacy. The fight however,wouldn't finish, either way everytime I stripped her panties it just started over from the jacket. Also sometimes when I broke her grapple it used the description from the Mellany fight. It also reffered to a move that Jen "taught" me, which hadn't happened.
-Joyce didn't have entries for Stacy and Elizabeth.
-Only got requisition on the Karen fights.
My playthrough was gentle dominant: challenged Karen, was kind on both defeats, demanded Mellany submit and agreed to be gentle, staked myself up against Andrianna and won. The Stacy fight didn't happen and I offered help agains Elizabeth in exchange for both of the girls.
This was the first time I played the game past Karen, so I don't really know which things were bugs and which were not iplemented yet. I'm planning to start again from the start and see if things go better.
Lets see... I really like your ero-scenes. They are ridiculously hot and you've got good, short and sweet descriptions for the NPC.
I think you shoul include a description of the main character.
The only serious bother is that the school is too big for the amount of content you have now and attending all three classes takes too many clicks. Things could stand to be streamlined.
If you're getting burned out with ero-scenes, you could try farming them out to fans like Fenoxo does. I'd be willing to give it a shot anyway.

-I've never heard of that glitch before. Melanie following you home and not leaving after scenes is a problem that I fixed, not sure if it was this release or prepared for the next. No scene happening at all however is something I'll have to look over.
-The Stacy fight is also a known issue which I honestly have no clue how to fix. I've reviewed the code a few times and done play tests, but nothing seems out of order except everyone reporting a glitch. I've since re-worked the fight, and will do so every update until I find a combination that works reliably.
-Elizabeth fight is working as intended. There was a final sprint to get her done in time, so I didn't get the chance to include a proper tie up for the fight. This will be fixed in the next version. This IS a beta after all. As for the Melanie line I recycle fights to avoid having to program from scratch. I suppose I missed a line somewhere. I'll fix that up.
-Once again, still a beta. I haven't gotten around to giving Joyce a full update.
-See above. Requisition hasn't been fully implimented.
Obviously the content will be expanded to match the size of the school by the end of the game. In the same vein there will be a limit of one action between each class, which is why it's set up how it is. When there's more filler and sub-plots it will be a lot less tedious.
As for ero-scenes taking a week off usually helps, and I have a no-letting-anyone-but-me-write-Shield-High policy to guarantee consistent style and quality.

Just replayed it from the very start, with the same choices. Took me forever, Karin kept whooping my ass for some reason. I must have blasphemed agains the Random Number God or something. :P

-Mellany says she wants to go home with you, but there is no at home scene and she gets stuck there.
-The Stacy fight doesn't happen.
Oh well, pleanty of other choices I haven't tried yet. ;)
I can understand wanting to make this project entirely the work of your own hands. I'll be rooting for you.

Question about the at home scene, does she just show up with no dialogue happening at all? I think I might have found the error in that case. If I'm right, it'll be fixed for next week's update. As I said previously, Stacy fight has been re-tooled since then. And to avoid double-posting and looking stupid, ORIGINAL POST:

Pretty much. To elaborate:
DeleteThere is the after win dialogue, where she says she would like to accompany you home and then leaves with Ginger and Naomi.
The three of them are in the block C schoolyard with the rest of the slaves while I'm doing the classes. There is no interaction besides the examine option.
Then when I leave for home, she shows up in the list of visible characters next to Jen. No scene happens and the only available interaction is examine. She doesn't appear in the school from this point foreward, but is allways at home, listed next to Jen.
I'm a completionist type player, so I'm obsesed with finding all possible permutations. It's just my style.
