Guide to Shield High

WARNING: THIS GUIDE IS HILARIOUSLY OUT OF DATE. WHEN I REACH 0.7 I WILL GO OVER ALL THE NEW CONTENT AND START WRITING A NEW GUIDE. THIS MAY END UP BEING A WIKI INSTEAD.

Having trouble progressing? Want to get a particular path but not sure how? Well this wiki is for you! Please note that I do not encourage it's use, as Shield High was originally meant to be a game of exploration, and trying to find just how deep the rabbit hole goes for yourself. However lots of people have requested it, and so here it is. Spoilers reside beyond.

SPOILER WARNING

Week 3
Intro
Follow the prompts to the classroom. (This SHOULD be straight. If not maybe you should stop playing now.) After registering and talking to Kaylee or Sasha you're given the choice of training or wandering.

If you pick training go to the gym. There's a fight with Sasha to teach you how fighting works.
If you pick wander, go out to the oval and talk to Angel to prompt the next lesson. In the future more options will exist here, but for now this is the only one.

Karen
Karen demands you submit during the second period. You may choose to either challenge her, or submit.

If you challenge her, you will prompt a fight with her the next day. Win or lose you will be given two reaction choices. All result in being challenged to another fight the next day. Winning this fight will give you the choice of being kind, or punishing Karen. Kindness gets you Courtney and Olivia as slaves too.

If you submit, Karen rapes you. The next day, or the day after, Samantha attempts to rape you as you pass through. You may choose to submit to her, or fight. Submitting gives rape scene. Fighting does not.

Week 4
Melanie
Melanie is in the Southern area of the school yard. You may either demand she submit, or offer her protection. If you have fought Karen, demanding Melanie submit will give you the choice of being kind or mean. Kindness will prompt Melanie to submit. Being mean will drive her away, and she will put herself up to be claimed. If you submitted to Karen and Samantha, Melanie will call your bluff and challenge you to a fight. If you submitted to Karen but not Samantha Melanie will put herself up to be claimed.

If you offer her protection she will ask what terms you are demanding. So far this has no long-term effect, but in the future it will effect what interactions can be had with Melanie as your slave. Light terms will guarantee she wants your protection. Medium terms will be accepted if you didn't submit to Karen. Harsh terms are only accepted if you won both fights against Karen. If your terms aren't accepted Melanie puts herself up to be claimed.

Regardless of outcome you must go see Jillian to advance the plot after. If Melanie puts herself up to be claimed you'll have a longer conversation with Jillian. This enables the Jillian romance option.

Angel
If Melanie puts herself up to be claimed you can go and ask Angel for help. If you've talked to her about her conversation topics she'll agree to help, for a price. If you agree to her price she'll help you, and all fights will be skipped. This kicks off the Angel romance option.

Andriana
If Angel isn't involved at the end of the week you fight with Andriana. If Melanie has accepted your protection, or submitted to you, you are given the option to claim one of two slaves, Ginger and Naomi. You may also offer other slaves, or yourself to take both. If you lose while offering yourself it results in a game over, otherwise losing the fight will merely prompt an event the next week. Victory with Melanie as your slave will begin the Melanie romance option.

Fighting Andriana to claim Melanie has no risk of game over, with victory only resulting in Melanie as your slave.

Melanie (again)
Fighting Melanie is the easiest fight in the game. Losing results in a game over, victory gives you Melanie as a slave.

Kaylee
If you beat Melanie, the next day Kaylee will confess that she's been checking you out and asks you out. Saying yes, obviously, starts off the Kaylee romance option.

Week 5
Andriana
If you didn't beat Andriana the week before you will have to challenge her. You do this by visiting Jillian and issuing the challenge. The fight is a crop-battle, a thus-far unique battle. Unlike previous fights this isn't centred upon dice rolls. During Sasha's explanation the rock-paper-scissors relation will be explained. Use this to out-wit Andriana and win. You can afford four mistakes before you lose, and Andriana will respond to each of your moves the same way. Losing results in you being enslaved by Andriana

Jillian
If Melanie put herself up to be claimed last week when you approach Jillian she will ask you for a date. If dating Angel you are able to talk to Angel about it and go on a double date.

Karen
Failure to beat Karen in the first week, or submitting to her, will prompt this fight. It's a trio fight, so in the background Courtney, Olivia, Sasha and Kaylee are all fighting. When you spank or tickle Sasha or Kaylee will get a piece of clothing off Courtney or Olivia. When you're spanked or tickled Sasha or Kaylee will lose a piece of clothing to Courtney or Olivia. Stripping Karen brings Courtney and Olivia up to the minimum level. If any of the other girls are stripped, their partner will start losing clothes on every action. When both girls on a team are stripped, the next grapple will end the fight, with the winning team ganging up on either you or Karen. Losing results in you being enslaved by Karen.

Angel
If you are dating Melanie and you have talked to Angel about every possible topic going to see Angel results in her asking you out. If you go and talk to Melanie about it you end up dating both. This prompts a single date, but has no further content.

Stacy
If neither of the earlier fights happen you will be warned at the beginning of the week that Stacy wants a fight. If they do happen, you will be told after the last fight of the week. When you go home on the final day of the week you will go to Stacy's house, where you fight. This is similar to the first Karen fight and Andriana fight, in that only two pieces of clothing are involved, however losing results in enslavement. If you lose the fight you are Stacy's slave. Winning gives you the option of being nice or punishing Stacy. Being nice will create a different scene depending on your romance choice.

More to come when Week 6 Content is "finalized"

  1. the game is great so far, i followed this guide but it doesn't say anything about what lessons in what rooms you have so maybe you could add a journal to the game or something?

    1. The lessons are a very simple C - B - A format. In your status bar down the bottom it tells you which class you have next. I don't cover it here since the guide is mostly intended for story purposes, not the actual game mechanics, which attending class kind of is, and is going to be when I get around to writing more filler events.

    2. Hi there, great game so far.
I seem to have problems with class and day progression though.
I can't get over day 1. I'm stuck to attend classes in room C, but I don't get the dropdown menu.

Is there a timer or something like that?

    3. If you've just done class A then you have to go the front of the school, and then home. Home isn't in the rotation because I'm a lazy programmer.

  2. So I am havin an issue where after I Submit/Challenge Karen I am stuck, there is nothing I can do other then talk to angel, librarian, and Emily chick who if I win/lose to ends the game, am I doing something wrong or is there some trick, as soon as whatever with Karen ends it says I am supposed to go to A-block nothing happens when I enter

    1. After you talk with Karen you have to go into the A-Block classroom, and there's an option to go to class there. Do that, then go to the front of the school to go home.

  6. Excellent game. Well done :)

On a side note, I found a bug in the scenario where you lose to Andriana in the gym and get enslaved. After the initial text describing the enslavement, I can't move out of the gym. I can move into and out of the changing room but that's it. I'm assuming that's not supposed to happen, so I just wanted to mention it.

Man I love "enslave or get enslaved" games, and they seem to be exceedingly rare, so what a great find this is.

  7. As an update to my previous post, I tried that battle again and didn't get any issues. I could exit the gym just fine. I think it might have had something to do with the attack choices I mad in the battle that resulted in the problems, I'm not sure.
I love the storyline that results from being enslaved by Andrianna. Just like with all the rest it's a lot of fun.

    1. Could be part of the combat, could just be a problem with RAGS. I honestly don't know, it's been months since I've looked at the code and I'm not particularly fussed with fixing an issue like that that honestly isn't all that relevant in the grand scheme of things.

But yeah, if you encounter weird problems like that when you've been saving and loading a lot, it's generally a RAGS-side problem I've noticed.

    2. I agree it's nothing to worry about. Haven't run into the problem again anyway. I have no experience with RAGS apart from this game, so I didn't know that might be the problem, but I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for the reply, and for the excellent game :)

  8. Ugh, why the NESW system again? It's so hard to navigate :/

    1. The NESW system is pretty intuitive to use with a room-based system, which is really the only option when making a text-based game like this, without completely invalidating the layout of the school, and allowing for accidental triggering of events that the player doesn't know about, and also keeping the ability to potentially avoid these events.
