Shield High 0.615 release.

This release is honestly a disappointment to me. I've been trying the past two weeks to make pathing work for me and it just...hasn't. So I decided to relent on it for the time being and release a very, very small update of what I had prior to starting that. Which is to say, stuff as102 asked for. It's not the whole list, but it's what I personally think is the most important thing. Also the timetable update. Thanks for that image it was amazing.

So yeah, there's a log now. It'll only record important events. So far it doesn't record combat, I plan to make a journal feature for that later, so you can look back on what happened in each combat much easier. Talking, room entries other than the base ones and events should all be caught by the log.

If you're looking for content, once again give this one a miss. However I will be looking to include content again very soon as I'm sick to death of pathing. So I'll be fixing up the Andriana fight for the next couple days and trying to get the whole Melanie arc released...soon. This week or next, depending on how long things take.

Sorry for the huge delay my experimenting caused.

  1. Thanks that you care for things I pointed. Glad that you liked the table.
So, I played the new version to check it and some things need more polish:
    - Log normally works fine but during events with choices the 'previous' and 'next' are below buttons from actual scene. They still work but aren't visible.
    - Not so important but 'continue'/'fight'/etc. buttons during said events actually work as they show for an split-second, or longer if you hold it, the connected next text page but without consequences.
    - New movement menu is better but some letters are not on adjusted positions.
    - I noticed that choosing 'train' on first day stops scene with Karen from triggering until you go to gym, but you can still attend all classes and go home.
    - I don't know if it's intentional but Angel is now at front office not at the oval.
I hope that you'll find the time to fix those and other things I mentioned last time.

As for things you asked about in last post, I'd check it depending on what you'd write but I don't suppose many would like to pay for it. And I think dividing your time on another project may no be the best thing to do but I know your pain...
Still, thanks for the release! Take your time and good luck ^_^

  2. I'm glad to see you're still motivated for this project. Honestly the writing for this has been some of the best I've encountered for this... genre(fetish?). I'm really looking forward to seeing how the story progresses and differs from the original material, as it seems to have a bit so far. Out of curiosity, since you mentioned Andriana, in the first RAGS version if you were enslaved to Andriana there was no "bad end" outcome that I could find. If you essentially did nothing--refused to make a choice and simply let time pass, events would simply repeat themselves as the previous week, sans the posing of the original choice. What was the plan there (in broad terms, you don't have to go into spoiler-y specifics)? Like like would there be negative repercussions from not helping Lola (I'm trying to leave out spoilers as much as possible here)? If you did nothing would there be a bad end/ game over? Just something that's bugged me, the not knowing.

    1. There was no plan for if you did nothing. It's one of those things I just crossed my fingers and hoped people didn't do. I imagine I'd have addressed it eventually, but only after all the main plot stuff had been tied up. Towards the end that became my focus, and it remains my focus in this new version. I just plan to make the plot a little more fluid than before. RAGS wasn't too good for re-active code, and my overall competency has gone up a lot.
