A dear fan of mine pointed out that I should actually make a post explaining the situation right now, so I'm doing so here. Game is currently on stall because I don't have the brain-space to work on it. My book is almost ready to send to the first literary agent, and so after I do that I'll be working to edit up the parts they aren't seeing just yet to get it all up to standard. Then I'll either be going through the publishing process, or sending it around to other people. Both of which will be time consuming. I've also got a holiday coming up next month, during which time I won't be working. And finally, I've been in a depression phase of my creative cycle, so even if I wasn't busy with anything, my output on Shield High would be trash.
So, that's why there's been no work on it. That's why there won't be work on it for some time. Will there be more work on it when this is all done? Ideally. Depends on the outcome of the book. If it publishes and makes fuck all money, I'll likely be back to working on something else. If it publishes and makes a sizeable amount of money I might be in a position to set aside time for Shield High. Proper news will just have to wait.
Sorry for not getting around to this sooner.

MOAR EXCUSES!
So, I ended up falling sick. Not like, cripplingly sick or anything, but certainly looking at code and deciding "No, watching all of Jurassic Park is a better idea" sick. So for that reason I haven't gotten everything done as fast I'd like. It's happening, slowly but surely, and you should have nicer sized pictures on the usual release time next week. And then hopefully my nose will stop being dumb, and I can go back to working on this and my book at night instead of watching movies forever.
I am become Jessica, it seems.

Update on the lack of an update
It feels like I'm making a habit of this, but this week I have a legit excuse. I went to see family, as I sometimes do, and as such have not had the time nor motivation to look at the interface and tweak numbers over and over and over. So yeah, no update this week. On the plus side, you don't get subjected to the pure horror that was the April Fool's update I had in mind. Count yourselves lucky.
Update next week fo sho.

Shield High 0.632 released.
Yes, it's now here! A little less content than I wanted but...I didn't want to rush out feats in the last two days, and prior to that I'd been playing with all dat customization. So, what IS new? Well, fonts being changed is a thing now. It isn't finished, I started playing with it. I think it looks stupid right now. I'm going to add more options in the next update, or the one after, regarding font sizes and fix them up. There was two things I wanted to do and so I did half of them. The second big thing is the customization. Stats have been dropped from 12s to 8s, which gives you a -1 in combat. You also have 24 points to spend on stat upgrades. That can get you to the vanilla all 12s, or let you specialize. I suggest making sure Int is 10 at least. Seriously.
ALSO, experience and levelling up. That's a thing too! Coming next week or week after depending on if I fix up text: Feats! Feats will give bonuses to certain actions. So you might get a +2 while your opponent is on the ground, or something.

No update this week!
I spent a lot of time thinking on how to go about the next update, and in doing so I didn't actually write much of it. I'm now at the stage of starting to code it, but the content that will be added is so tiny it doesn't feel worth throwing up this week. As such, no update this week so I have a bit more time to make sure it all works out. It'll be bringing some changes to combat, and possibly also the AI iuno. The AI currently is trash. It needs to be made smarter.
Anyway, yeah, just keeping you posted so I don't go and do that thing I do again.

Shield High 0.631
It doesn't work on 800x600! Possibly some other resolutions! But that's okay because all I did this week was play around with some interface stuff and fix up the saving glitch. I also had a look at the Andriana fight situation, and claims that it didn't work with making bets. It...did work. You just have to hit confirm a grand total of four times. I am going to look at fixing this up a little. Primarily in terms of re-arranging it, so you pick what you want first, and can then offer things. Also going to set it up so if you, as the player, pick to offer all your slaves, you may throw yourself into the offer, so it's possible to win Andriana. That or I will remove Andriana from the list of options. We'll see. I'll look at fixing up the other glitch this week, in between doing more interface stuff.
So, what DID I do with the interface, I bet you're wondering. What marvels did the Pudding Earl add? Well, I added an options screen. Which...isn't huge, until you realize the implications of it. It's got 4 buttons you can click right now, Save, Load, Logs, Stats. What does Stats do? I hear you ask. Well, right now all it does is show you your 6 combat stats. But what it will do soon, is allow you to level up. Right after I do some combat tweaking. Well, before that, but then after it. But yes, I'm planning to finally add in the ability to customize your Jessica a bit. Other buttons that are written into the game but not yet turned on(there's a glitch to see em so I may as well just tell you) are Characters, which will give you a list of characters in the game, and let you look up some stuff about 'em, a map button, which I may just remove because I hate everyone who plays my game (I kid, I kid, I just hate making maps we'll see), and finally a button I believe is still labelled "Wardrobe" but I want to change to "Inventory". This one will tie in with the shops, to let you buy a whole bunch of new options for Jessica's underwear, and probably also things like cat ears or something. Iuno, I'll decide down the track.

Oh yeah, if you're wondering why it doesn't work on 800x600 it's because text collides. I'm gonna look into a smaller font size for next week. I almost did it this week but I had two days and I didn't want to fuck about with ALL THE CODE that would need changing for a smaller font size. It's a shockingly large amount. Mostly in text-wrap services.
Anyway, take all this stuff with a grain of salt etc because I am the Peter Molyneux of indie porn games so I could be full of shit. Who knows? I clearly don't. Also I'm now taking this as fact until someone tells me otherwise.
Enjoy
