Shield High: Jessica's Story 0.521 FINALLY releases.

Betcha didn't see THIS one coming.

Actually I'm pretty sure you did, I did say updates were coming, so really it's kinda obvious. Regardless, I apologize for the delays, life happened, and I haven' been home in three fucking weeks and I'm pretty grumpy about it in case you couldn't tell. Also I'm not going home for another two weeks. So don't expect me back on schedule. ANYWAY. Let's see what 0.521 brings to the table.

-Fight against Jasmine, a fierce member of the Mistresses, in an INTENSE, REACTIVE CROP FIGHT.
-Go on a date with your girlfriend Jillian, to celebrate your victory over Bailey.
-Go on an even better date with your girlfriends Jillian AND Angel, to celebrate your victory over Bailey. Choose between two sex scenes on this date. Or be a submissive bitch and get no choice.

I promise I will never again try and make my features sound exciting, that was terrible. In other news, I did a little bit of world building to hint at POSSIBLE SEQUELS THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

So, download link is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?3jxnw868n5ashsb

And I hope you all enjoy it. Sorry for the delays.

Pudding Earl.

P.S. How do people not notice my spelling mistakes? How do *I* not notice my spelling mistakes?

  1. Don't worry about the delays and ignore any dipwad that complains about it to you. I hope the two weeks fly by and that life returns to being milk and honey soon. Ha ha...

    1. Actually pretty much everyone is totally bro about it and I haven't had a single complaint.

Clearly I'm a failure of a game designer.

  2. Love the game but I kind of wish there was a way to train or make the fights easier. They just seem so completely random at time but I love that game and hope for more when you can.

  3. Yeah, don't worry. It's not like you have any deadlines and irritating boss over your head.
Maybe you're not the best game designer, but you are our game designer XD

So, back to the game and its mistakes:
    - 11th paragraph of new date has 'The fact it's your Mistress doing this to you makes it even better.' even when you didn't submit to her earlier at all
    - going in the art room after Bailey fight starts crop fight but with no interaction
    - should Bailey really be at the gym fight after her defeat?
    - and some older ones you forgot to patch up *cough*Lucy&Allison*cough* :P

Still, new scenes makes it very good release. Will be waiting for another.

  4. @lordmou This has been a complaint for the longest time, so I'm resorting to the only solution I can think of. When 0.6 comes around, I'm scrapping combat and re-building a new engine from the ground up, with more depth and choices, and a lesser, or completely absent RNG. Probably lesser though.

    @as102 Going through the list:
-That's nit-picking and would be a pain in the ass to fix up.
-Okay I should have seen that coming I'll work out how to fix it.
-Also nit-picking, I do this with relevant slaves a lot
-I completely forget what's wrong with them. Remind me?

    1. Sorry if my nit-picking is bothering you but I just like to have things in order :P
      - I don't want to impose on your writing, but changing that sentence to 'The fact it's your dominant girlfriend doing this to you makes it even better.' (or sth similar) wouldn't be very tiring, I hope, and would make it sound better.
      - +
      - I didn't notice it then, but ok. Here it seemed just out of place for me.
      - Was explained below.

While new engine should make game better and solve some problems, porting the game will be tiresome. I hope you are motivated for the fight.

    2. I'd rather spend a couple weeks porting the game than have to re-do half of the stuff in RAGS anyway. When I started I had a lot of bad practices which I only now realize are bad practices, so I'm going to have to do a re-work somewhere. May as well just make a damn engine and be done with it. When I'm up to scratch anyway. My programming is still a bit iffy thus far.

    3. If possible could you perhaps put an item in where it makes you more likely to win or lose. Just to help get to some of the later areas and bug test for you.

  5. Hey, cool new stuff.

For Alison/Lucy. It all works I think, but it's quirky. If you claim both Lucy and Allison after the Stacey fight, after you've called in your reward (take joint payment on Lucy) and you find them at home you have to choose your nights fun option with Allison not Lucy (chosing 'dom' 'sub' etc. on Lucy doesn't do anything). When you do Alison, it works but...

Next day, when you return home Alison is still there with a 'take joint payment' option. If you choose it again you can repeat their first scene.

Also on that Lucy sub route with the mistresses, if you don't do it twice, you don't get Lucy seeing you outside the mistresses and them blackmailing you, instead there's nothing... but the scene (lucy + Alison scene two) at home with them still occurs even if the blackmail doesn't.

And Sequels?!, you've got so much stuff in this game you've got a games worth of loose ends to tie up :P.

    Cheers.

    1. Riiiight. Those issues. I honestly don't know where the problem is. When I review the code it all checks out, it's weird. Well, I'll have another look I suppose.

And these sequels are very, very long term plans here. Geez.

    2. Heh.

On the Lucy, Alison stuff, just want to stress that you do get at all the content even if it's a bit weird.

If you're really thinking of porting it anyway, I wouldn't even bother those the weirdness above. You've probably heard of it before, but just in case. There's the DayDreamer engine made from someone who hated RAGS. No idea how good it is.

Cheers man, thanks again for the updates.

    3. I'll give it a look, but the plan is to port it to a scratch built engine. I'm planning a new combat system, which can't be made in RAGS, and so presumably DayDreamer, which means I need to build the whole damn thing myself. Right now I really just need to learn a couple more things to get started, but I'm brushing up my fundamentals first, so it'll probably be a bit longer than that sadly.
